My star sponge cake with whipped cream.
Here is another way to enjoy a sponge cake, I suggest you cut it into star shapes and cover it with whipped cream..
A super simple recipe to prepare and deliciously good.

When Michelle proposed her theme for the Food Battle with a Christmas without a log, I wanted to present my sponge cake in this way.
You stick with a party theme and your guests will be amazed.
The day I made my star sponge cake, an incessant rain occupied the sky and as a result I suffered to take photos!

- 4 œufs
- 120g de sucre en poudre
- 120 farine
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavoring
- 25cl de crème liquide
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- Whisk the eggs with the powdered sugar and the vanilla flavoring until the mixture doubles in volume..
- Gradually add the flour and mix gently.
- Verser la pâte sur une plaque recouverte de papier cuisson.
- Enfourner pendant 10 minutes à 180°C.
- As soon as it comes out of the oven, place the sponge cake with the baking paper on a damp cloth and leave to cool completely..
- Whip the liquid cream to obtain a nice whipped cream..
- Cut out stars with a cookie cutter from the sponge cake.
- Place whipped cream on each star and overlap them.
- Sprinkle with cocoa powder.
