Bake sweet potatoes in & rsquo; Caribbean

My delicious gratin of sweet potatoes in the Caribbean.

If you have the opportunity, I suggest you try my West Indian sweet potato gratin recipe.

It's a very tasty and easy way to cook sweet potatoes.

The addition of cive and bacon brings a Creole touch.

Ingredients
  • 1 Yam
  • des lardons
  • 2 chives or spring onions
  • 30cl de lait
  • 1 cuillère à soupe de farine
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • du fromage râpé
Instructions
  1. Eplucher, slice the sweet potato and cook it in water.
  2. Préparation de la béchamel:
  3. Melt the butter and add the flour; mélanger.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk while mixing and heat until thickened.
  5. Stopper la cuisson.
  6. Saler et poivrer.
  7. Cut the chives into slices and brown them in a little oil with the bacon for a few minutes.
  8. Dans un plat à gratin, lay out the sweet potato slices, lay out a little of the bacon / chives mixture and cover with béchamel sauce.
  9. Repeat the same step again.
  10. Finish with the grated Gruyère.
  11. Bake 10 minutes and finish by gratinating.
